Advisory Council

ASB has drawn together a veritable brains trust of eminent management teachers and professionals who act as the Advisory Council, to help enrich the initiatives of the School.

Mr. C Balagopal

Mr. Balagopal is the Managing Director of Terumo Penpol Ltd, manufacturers of a range of medical products for the blood banking and transfusion industry. He is a gold medalist from Loyola College, Madras for his BA in Economics and an MA in Economics from the University of Madras. He was selected for the prestigious Indian Administrative Service (IAS) but resigned later to pursue his entrepreneurial dreams. He is a member and Chairman of several key professional and voluntary organisations, including the MHD 13 committee of the Bureau of Indian Standards, National Institution of Quality and Reliability, TiE Kerala, Prathibha Poshini and the Kerala Public Affairs Forum.

Mr. Rajeev Srinivasan

An independent IT consultant with offices in Chennai and San Francisco, Mr. Srinivasan teaches a course on Technology Management at IIM-B. He previously held senior positions for over 20 years with SunMicro Systems in the US and in India. He is an IIT (Madras) graduate, with an MS from Syracuse University in the US and an MBA from Stanford.

Mr. R Narayanan

Advisor, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. Earlier, as Vice President (Learning and Development), he was concerned with planning, delivering and measuring induction and continuous learning initiatives of all TCS professionals in technology, domain, management and soft skills. He is a visiting faculty at a number of academic and R&D institutions in USA, Canada, France, Germany etc. and has contributed to the curriculum formation for a number of Universities within and outside the country. He is a member of International Steering Committee on Software Engineering Education and Training. He has a Master's Degree in Mathematics and a Diploma in Statistics.

Mr. R P Pillai

Mr Pillai is currently the Promoter-CEO of Krysalis Consultancy Services Private Limited, an organisation focusing on strategic issues, training and outsourcing; he is also a visiting faculty member of Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai. His last corporate assignment was as Managing Director of a rural telecom firm setup jointly by Analog Devices, USA and IIT, Chennai. He had had nearly 20 years of experience with a variety of large established companies (L&T, MRF, Elgi, etc.) in the area of strategic planning, business development and marketing. He is a Fulbright Scholar (Hubert Humphrey Fellow) University of Minnesota, USA; a Post Graduate from IIM - Calcutta; and B.Tech (IIT - Kanpur)

Mr. T K Harshan

Chairman & Managing Director, Stark Group of Companies, Mr. Harshan has close to 25 years of experience in communications, marketing and publishing across some of the most creative advertising companies (Mudra, Contract, Lintas and Grant) in the country. The highly successful promotion campaigns positioning Kerala around the world as a fascinating tourism destination were conceptualised and executed under the leadership of Mr. Harshan. He was Director, World Tourism market Ltd. - London / Berlin; and Director, International & Associate Publsher, EMO / Marhaba Magazine, Paris. He has an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
Board of Governors
